12 Feb High school teachers plan Brockville protest
Public high school teachers will gather in front of city hall in downtown Brockville on Thursday afternoon to protest against the Ontario government’s education policy.
The rally at 3:30 p.m. is one of four being planned for the Upper Canada area by members of District 26 of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF). All 35 districts will be holding rallies in support of maintaining school funding.
“We are calling on the Ford government to make no cuts to public education,” states a release issued by Brockville rally lead Tanya Crosbie on Saturday.
